Our History
The RiverBank School was founded in 2009. It began as a Nursery delivering the Early Year Foundation Stage with an application of Montessori principles. The vision was birthed by the Pastor of the City of David Church, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade.
The school started in the premises of the junior church hall and a room in the church office. The first pupil, Tochi Arinze commenced on Monday 2nd of March 2009. Thereafter Ayooluwa Banjoko joined the school. The school grew slowly but steadily over the next few months and by the end of September 2009 it had over thirty children on roll. Over the years we have grown in size, stature and reputation.
RiverBank School has expanded steadily and has an outstanding reputation for achieving the best for all of its pupils. One of the most striking features is its atmosphere: happy children and staff enjoying learning in a purposeful manner.
A pupil to teacher ratio of 12:1 helps ensure no child is forgotten and every child matters. The relationship between staff and pupils is exceptionally warm, built on trust and mutual respect, a good starting point for a fine education which lays its emphasis on academic excellence, sporting achievements and high moral values across a broad and balanced curriculum
RBS provides a breadth of opportunities in which children can develop their own individual talents and attain their full potential within a very strong and supportive framework. At The RiverBank School our goal is to educate the ‘whole child’- both spiritually as well as the intellectually.
We are committed to raising God fearing Child leaders who would aim for excellence in all their endeavor. We offer a Christian and family approach to care and education that will ensure full academic potential is realized in every individual child.

RBS School Song
We shall spring forth, flourish and be raised upright
RiverBank, my RiverBank,
In the school where children will be great leaders
RiverBank, my RiverBank,
RiverBank, we learn but laugh and play
RiverBank, my RiverBank,
We shall grow, and serve our country well
RiverBank, my RiverBank,
